I am not good in handling conflicts. I think its because I'm too much of a Monica. I have this uncontrollable need to please people which in turn, sometimes, kills me inside.

This is going to be a deadly week. I hope I get throught this alive.

What Dreams May Come

Chris: When I was young, I met this beautiful girl by the lake.

Chris: There's a man Ian never got to know: the man he was growing up to be. He's a good looking clear-eyed young fellow, about 25. I can see him. He's the type of guy that men want to be around, because he has integrity, you know? He has character. You can't fake that. And he's a guy women want to be around too, because there's a tenderness in him. Respect, and loyalty, and courage, and women respond to that. Makes him a terrific husband, this guy. I see him as a father. That's where he really shines. I see him when he looks into his kid's eyes. That kid knows that his dad really, really sees him. He sees who he is. And then that child knows that he's an amazing person. He's quite a guy, that he'll never get to meet.

Chris: I forgive you.
Annie: For killing my children and my sweet husband?
Chris: For being so wonderful a guy would choose hell over heaven just to be around you.

Thank God for hot showers. Not only does it clean up that unwanted stickiness in your hair, it freshens you up, it gets you ready for that sleep-is-not-an-option night and most importantly, it clears away those thoughts. We all know that is the last thing you need in times like these.

Today is a winding road. Yes, it is the lyrics to a song but it also encapsulates what has taken place today. Left then right then back again.

My Love
Friday, September 12, 2008 |9:19 AM

The combined efforts of my closest girlfriends produced this beautiful writeup for me.
"A girl with a golden name but what's so special about her is how she lives up to it. She is a girl with a golden personality. She has these little funny antics that make her so endearing, so lovable, so uniquely Kim. She laughs over the most trivial things. She never fails to remember your birthday. She hugs you when you're up, she hugs you when you're down and she hugs you even when there is no reason to, just to show she's there. Also, with a high energy level, she has become a swimmer and dancer at heart, she has learned to swim upward the stream of challenges and dance to the rhythm of life. She's also a girl who wears her golden heart on her sleeve; her transparency has been a window to within. Her kindness is innate. Her care is sincere. Her love is immense. If there is one thing to be said about her, it's that she is nothing short of extraordinary."
Thank you for this and thank you for everything. You don't know how big of a difference you two are making in my twisted life *wink*. I love you for now, I love you forever. :)

Today has really been not okay.
However, thank God for that little saving grace.
Everthing... today.. was just too much.
Or do I just feel too much?
I wish this is my lowest point.

Because if that's the case, there's no way but up.

A Reminder
Monday, September 8, 2008 |9:13 PM

Last Sunday, Pat, Ian and I went to the Holy Spirit Parish to do our Season of Creation project. At first, I was very, very reluctant about going since I was missing precious family time because of it. Plus, I realized that I have been doing a lot for this subject [e.i. immersion, presentations, readings] and it seems that my efforts have not been fairly compensated. Nonetheless, I still needed to go. I had no choice.

But lo and behold, I really enjoyed the time I spent there. The kids were amazingly cute [refer to the picture below for proof] and witty, albeit makulit and konyo. They were very participative in the games especially in the newspaper dance where everyone swayed and jiggled to the beat. Kahit sa phone lang ni Ian galing yun music, sobrang sayaw pa rin lahat. Nobody was shy and it was super fun! Because of this, I remember why I used to have dreams of becoming a pre-school teacher.

I said that these kids are witty and to prove my point, let me share what CeeJay, a five-year-old little girl, said about the kitten that kept on returning even though we have tried so many times to make it lose its way to us. She said: "I know why that kitten keeps on coming back to us. It is because he has no family of his own." Whoever said kids say the darnest things?

Really Now? Really Now.

Human beings are funny. They long to be with the poeple they love but refuse to admit it openly. Some are afraid to show even the slightest sign of affection because of fear; fear that their feelings may not be recognized or even worse, returned. But one thing about human beings that puzzles me the most is their conscious effort to be remotely connected with their object of affection even if it kills them slowly within.

As a Matter of Fact
Wednesday, September 3, 2008 |10:53 PM

What are the properties of matter?
First is that it has mass and it does not change unless removed or divided. Weight; it depends on the attraction of the pull of gravity thus, it changes from place to place. Impenetrability; there are no two things that can occupy the same space. Inertia; a matter at rest will remain at rest but can only be moved when an external force is applied. Porosity; states that matter has pores. Form and shape; allows for the distinction to be observed. Volume; capacity or space occupied.

Just something to refresh my memory.
